  • Apostle, Pastor, Evangelist, Teacher, Dr. Loretta Rich was raised and attended schools in the Washington, D.C. metro area. She attended the neighborhood Church, Beulah Baptist, in NE, Washington, DC. Loretta is an Alumni of Bowie University, also attending American University and Benedict College, SC. Majoring in Communications Media.

Dr. Loretta was Born Again, September 28, 1979, during a lunch break from work. Two years after being Saved, Sanctified and Filled with Holy Ghost, Dr. Loretta was released from Beulah to become a disciple of Rhema Christian Center in N.E., DC.

Loretta and her mother, Apostle, Dr. Lillie M Grier, received salvation in Jesus Christ, around the same time. With great excitement and joy, they began, right away to go where ever they could, as servants of the Most High God, to spread the Good News of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. They traveled the highways, byways, and WTKK Radio in Virginia. Both Loretta, her mother and brother, Lincoln Grier became a traveling gospel singing team.

Dr. Loretta was licensed to Preach the Gospel in 1982, Ordained in the Five Fold Ministry in 1984. She was set apart (both times) by the Professors and Presbytery of Howard University School of Divinity, Dr. Etheridge, Dr. Diggs and Dr. Ashcraft, all of the H.U.’s Washington Saturday College.

Loretta served the local assembly in many capacities, laboring, as unto the Lord and not unto men. In June, 1986, after six years at Rhema Christian Center, she was called out by FATHER GOD, to establish what The LORD called, Grace & Mercy Ministries.

Apostle Loretta shared the call and vision of the Lord with her Mother, Apostle Grier who agreed to come on board. As a team, meeting in her mother’s home, Grace & Mercy Ministries came forth. Outreaches in radio, television, bible studies in high school with special guest as Nicky Cruz, nursing homes, shelters, prison, hospitals, The Back To School Jubilee for all age children & young college age adults. Productions: Musical Dramas with a Mission to Save Souls were held in Community Recreation Centers, Crusades, etc.

Married in 1990 to Dr. Alvin N Rich, Dr. Loretta along with her Husband, also attended Jericho Bible College for six years,

2 Years Victory Christian College. Dr. Loretta Trained Cell Groups Leaders @ Hope Christian Church & (Loretta Attended 2 years @ Rhema Bible College).

Through many trails, tribulations, and weathering many storms, in 1995 the LORD, having already prepared Loretta (unbeknown to her then), to carry out HIS vision to establish a Bible College. The College was to equip the saints in obedience to the WORD, Living Above Reproach (Holy Living), and to License and Ordain those that were really called and chosen by Holy Spirit for Ministry. Thus, Grace & Mercy Ministries Bible College School of Evangelism and Ministry’s first class was formed. The LORD gave the vision and directives of every single aspect of the Bible College to Dr. Loretta, even down to the Graduation Songs. Apostle Grier was in the first class as Loretta taught. By HOLY GHOST Orchestration, Loretta followed GOD’s vision for the College. Apostle Grier learned and caught the vision and with Great Grace Upon Her Life, began helping to teach many of our graduates, Hallelujah!

Following the first class graduation, another bump in the road manifested. However in every storm, the LORD ultimately gets the glory. Loretta with transfer of credits received her Master’s Degree in Biblical Education. She went back to school for her Doctorate Degrees in Divinity, Theology, & DHL at the Breakthrough Bible College and Theological Seminary. Loretta, insisting that her mother and husband, who had worked & served with her in ministry should be presented before the College Board. Loretta did the required documentations & both husband and mother became recipients of Doctorate of Human Letter (DHL).

Dr. Loretta’s greatest desire is to show the love of JESUS CHRIST by feeding, disciplining, teaching and training HIS sheep through: Church Fellowship, Bible Study, Bible College, family & ministry conferences, radio, television, drama with a mission and several other evangelistic, outreach programs and projects. We are commissioned to “Go YE!” The LORD has instructed us to disciple, equip the saints for the work of HIS ministry, and to strengthen and encourage the youth. She believes as a team, all can live a life pleasing to the LORD by being fruitful and winning the lost souls for CHRIST, “At Any Cost”. Loretta’s covenant ministries are KCM & CDMA. In January 2015, Dr. Maurice Watson became the sixth pastor called to the historic Metropolitan Baptist Church pulpit in her 150-year history. He comes to Metropolitan after 10 years as Senior Pastor of Beulahland Bible Church in Macon, Georgia. A native of Little Rock, Arkansas, Dr. Watson accepted the call to preach at the age of 16, and two years later he was ordained.

St. Mark Baptist Church in Little Rock, Arkansas, was Dr. Watson’s first pastorate where he served for 7 years. In November 1988, at the age of 28, Dr. Watson accepted the call to pastor the Salem Baptist Church in Omaha, Nebraska, where he served for 15½ years. Salem’s membership grew from 1,200 to more than 3,500 and the ministry was able to move into a new 42,000 square foot, multi-million dollar facility by January 2000.

In April 2004, sensing a new call of God on his life, Dr. Watson accepted the senior pastorate of Beulahland Bible Church in Macon, Georgia. God opened the windows of Heaven and began to pour out blessings upon this ministry. Using Pastor Watson as a vessel, God touched the hearts of many and Beulahland experienced tremendous growth; thousands of souls were added to the ministry.

In early 2004, Dr. Watson’s vision of “Faith on the Fast Track” led Beulahland through the construction of a second worship facility on the Macon campus grounds. This new 40,000 square foot edifice was completed in October 2009 and the membership now enjoys a state-of-the-art 3,000-seat sanctuary complete with custom sound and audio, new administrative offices, a café and bookstore, a finance room, an intake room, and a videotaping room.

Beulahland’s former sanctuary was remodeled and now serves as the Youth/Children’s Church. The congregation purchased adjacent property to provide additional parking for the growing congregation and installed new exterior lighting that literally made Beulahland a beacon of light in the community.

With the primary goal of “Impacting Lives from Middle Georgia,” Dr. Watson’s leadership took Beulahland to a second worship location in Warner Robins, Georgia, in February 2005. After 5 ½ months of worship, the church was able to close on 13 acres of land to build a new worship facility for the Warner Robins area.

Dr. Watson received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Education from Philander Smith College in Little Rock and was class Valedictorian. He earned a Master of Arts Degree in Theology at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska and a Doctor of Ministry Degree from Beeson Divinity School in Birmingham, Alabama.

Dr. Watson is a prolific pastor with a dynamic itinerant preaching ministry that extends across the continent and globe. A sought after preacher and expositor, in 2002, he served as the morning worship preacher at the Annual Hampton Ministers’ Association Conference, and later served as the conference preacher

in 2005 and 2015. He is a former Chaplain with the Bibbs County Sheriff Department and the Georgia State Patrol. In 2010, Dr. Watson was inducted into the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Board of Preachers of Morehouse College.

Motivated by his love for people, his love for preaching, and his belief that no one is beyond God’s reach, Dr. Watson said, “I was born – put on this Earth, in this Universe – to be a preacher, teacher, and pastor of people. Seeing people helped and seeing lives transformed through what I might have to say, or what God might have to say through me, motivates me. It is my purpose for being alive.”

Dr. Watson was born the seventh of eight children to Ulysses and Juanita Watson in Little Rock, Arkansas. He is married to Janice and they have two beautiful daughters.

  • Pastor TIM SEAY of CROSSOVER CHURCH

Source: Radio One D.C. / Radio One Digital

    Motivating. Compassionate. Adventurous. Energetic. Innovative.

These are just a few words to describe Tim Seay. For all who know Pastor Tim or see him weekly during church services, an infectious smile and unmistakable laugh will let you know you are in his presence. A servant leader and mighty prayer warrior, Pastor Tim has a heart that is broken for Christ and an abiding and unwavering faith in the Word of God.

    Biker. Bass Player. Jazz Aficionado.

As Lead Pastor of a dynamic, growing congregation, meeting Tim Seay is like meeting an old friend. You are instantly welcomed by his warm smile and hearty laugh. In fact, it’s contagious – and he’s cool too!

    Biography

For all who know Pastor Tim or see him during weekly church services, an infectious smile and unmistakable laugh will let you know you are in his presence. A servant leader and mighty prayer warrior, Pastor Tim has a heart that is broken for Christ and an abiding and unwavering faith in the Word of God. Being fully persuaded of God’s plan for his life, Pastor Tim’s faith has allowed him to witness the miraculous power of God to remove obstacles because he has learned how to wait on the Lord….

It all started in the fall of 1987 in an elementary school.

In October of 1987, an apostolic core of terrified 20 somethings ventured out to establish a unique expression of the body of Christ in the Washington metropolitan area. At the time, this new entity was Emmanuel Covenant Church, which recognized and celebrated God’s abiding presence with us.

Serving as its pastor, Tim Seay longed to see this new church become an environment that nurtured and produced a community of people who were living expressions of genuine Christianity.

As a result, Tim and this community of believers were not content to reduce their Christian identity to a Sunday morning service, but were driven with a passion to be instrumental in Changing Lives, Changing Families, and Changing the World.

After almost 3 decades of existence and service, instead of erecting a monument of complacency, they are a church with a fresh wind, a fresh fire, and new name that points to the present and future impact on the lives of many. That name is Crossover Church.
