Virginia and Maryland Among Top 5 States For Teachers

A recent study ranked Virginia and Maryland in the top five best states for teachers, with Virginia taking third place and boasting the highest income growth potential nationwide. Virginia’s average starting salary for teachers is $45,141, placing 13th nationally.

New York topped the list as the best state for teachers, offering an adjusted average annual salary of $82,571.
