A GIANT PUPUSA MADE IN DC BREAKS THE WORLD RECORD

A team of 40 Salvadoran chefs set a new Guinness World Record at Fiesta DC by cooking the largest pupusa ever made, measuring 20 feet, 2 inches in diameter. The event, which took place on Pennsylvania Avenue, drew over 5,000 spectators, including D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser.

The chefs used 270 masa balls filled with traditional Salvadoran ingredients like chicharron, mozzarella, and loroco. After several failed attempts, they succeeded in creating the massive dish on a custom-built griddle, surpassing the previous record of 18 feet.
