I am a single mother; Yes and I’m proud
Don’t need a man to validate my
Womanhood; I am blessed with a
Beautiful child; it is hard to play
The role of mother and father but it is god
Who has kept me and my child’s head above the high water;
The load gets heavy and sometimes I struggle to pay the bills
But I would do anything to make sure me and my child are eating
Full course meals; a mother and child that pray that god will
Keep them safe; if the father is nowhere
